With the Sorcery : the Gathering Extended PTQ season now over, we can ultimately begin to concentrate on Standard. If you aren’t aware yet, this year will mark the 1st time in my memory that Standard has been selected as a Pro Tour Qualifier format. Standard is played with an intensely limited card pool matched against Extended ( 7 years’ worth of sets ) or Bequest / Vintage ( The whole card pool of Wizardry : the Gathering ). Standard contains only 2 years’ worth of Sorcery : the Gathering releases, which suggests that it is both comparatively straightforward to start playing and also simple to realise an idea of the ub tournaments. The explanation why Standard is so appealing is thanks to its accessibility of cards which don’t force players to buy sets from 5 to 7 years back to get and also as it is heavily pushed by Magicians of the Coast in a selection of contests.

Standard is a format that’s played in 1 Pro Tour every year, the 1st day and Top eight portions of the Earth Championships, at each Created Fri. Night Sorcery and State Championships, and also at Regional Championships.

To bring Standard to the ub poker bonus level is something which has many players excited, because now they can play the decks they are accustomed to seeing on the Pro Tour and also at their local little events so as to qualify for something larger and better. Now, there are lots of healthy decks in Standard currently.
